Green Griffon inn - gem quest (spoiler)

Post by C Elegans »

At Green Griffon inn, I met this woman (can't remember her name) who has one of the gems. When I approach her, she tells me to step back because she is on the hunt for bed company. So she picks up this figther guy and they go upstairs to her room. I follow them, and when I enter the room she is standing there in her underwear, and says I should leave. I can't speak to her. When I don't leave, she calls me thief, and attacks. Do I have to kill her? Is there no way to speak to her? I found the gem in a chest, and of course I could just take the gem and run, but role-playing wise it's not very funny.

I understand that the story unfolds differently if you have a male PC, but mine is female, and it seems the lady is not bi.

That is actually quite comical. :D I suppose the only option you have is to kill her, or to use persuade or insight. Do you have those options?

I've done that quest twice, and she attacked me immediately each time.

Funny part was, the dumb fighter she picked up downstairs just stood and watched her die both times!

Spoiler how to do it as a man without killing her.
Highlight to read:
Play your cards right, and she will pick you up for her fun (instead of the fighter), and when you get to her room, you can demand the gem. She will be so imbaresed that she was outsmarted by a man (LOL ;) :D ) and give you the gem.

@ C Elegans: You can attack her and when her health drops to near death, she will give up - so you don't have to kill her. I was tempted to finish her off - her attitude got on my nerves.

I was amused that her "boyfriend" stood by and watched the whole scene without helping her.

No, I can't talk to her at all, her lines appear as white text above her head, and when I try to talk to her, she only shouts "thief" although I haven't touched a thing.

@Kibblez: Do you have a male or female PC? I got no option to speak to her before killing her, and I have tried 3 times now.

I guess I just have kill her then, damn, I though she was pretty charming. :D

I did it as a female. Of course I picked both lockes and stole it far before she ever went to the room. :D
