Mercenary in Argyle
Mercenary in Argyle
Okay boys, though your fighter guild won't have the benefit of my leadership (suckers!
), I will be offering myself as a Mercenary in Argyle, and other such servers in which I'll be playing. Just thought I'd let you BotB's know, as your bound to have a few enemies crop up (just hope I'm not working for them
)
You character crosses my path and you dead!
But why not BotB?

It is actually a pretty good idea. I am considering to do so aswell.
But on the other hand, BotB is a pretty cool idea too
Well, still got some time to decide (release NWN June 28th). Does anyone know when Argyle will be launched???

Well remember you can be a member of BoTB out of Argyle - and play in Argyle and just not join there.
We will still play modules out-side Argyle also

Also remember that you can play with two characters in Argyle at one time. Since these players can't really be affiliated in any way, I doubt the DMs would allow both to be Banshee members/potentials. But you could have one Banshee and one mercenary.

i think they wouldn't allow such a thing. And besides that, i want to concentrate on one thing. I can begin a mercenary and then i can later on join BotB if i want to

I think they'd certainly allow such a thing! In fact, I think they'd encourage it. Any character you creat should get involved with the people, places, and organizations of Argyle. I plan on having two characters in Argyle, one in the BotB and the other in the Inquisition. Perhaps they'll both be paladins. Hmmmmmm. I haven't decided. But, I don't see any problem with one a merc and the other in the BotB.

@Xandax: that VERY important at BotB. Whoever is metagaming isn't a good role-player and I think that's what the Blades are all about: role-playing

I'm not for sure what you mean, but like Rail said, I know they definitely want both characters as immersed in the world as possible. They might not allow your character to work for the blades, but then again they might, as long as he did not have any connections to your Banshee character.
But it will be a while before the Banshees are in a position to hire mecenaries anyways, so the issue is probably moot.

Well, I intend to make a name for myself as a Merc, and really cause some havok among clans in the middle of a guild war...Originally posted by Rob-hin

But a mercenary is a fun idea, but it'll be a bit to lonely for me. So I think I'll be a member of the Blades who knowbody really knows. A loner, perhaps a bit like Vegeta in Dragonball Z.![]()
