Two days ago I was thinking the Red Wings would be denied the Stanley Cup again. Then a 2-0 victory kept the hope, but not prepared me for what I just saw.
Please, somebody wake me up. I must be dreaming. A seven goal shutout on game 7 against Colorado must be a practical joke being played on me.
Amazing.

Gee, I also thought it was some kind of practical joke, but it's obviously true. I'm a Red Wing fan, but I actually thought Avalance would win the series, Red Wings have shown previously they have problems with Avalanche, and their game seemed to be sinking over the last matches.

However, now they are playing the Stanley Cup final against Carolina Hurricans

Detroit is going to trash Carolina, it won't even be a fun series to watch. As far as I was concerned, the real battle was between the Avalanche and the Redwings. Kind of a let down for the finnally.

It is quite anti-climatic to have a 7-0 shutout in the playoffs.... this means that it's between Carolina and Detroit, neither of which I want to win (not Carolina b/c they defeated the Leafs

and not Detroit, because... well, just because

) I would have liked a Leafs vs. Avalanche final, but since that ain't happening.....

I'm gonna have to pick Carolina as SHOULD win and Detroit as WILL win
