food or drink you just could not give up

Post by dragon wench »

Most people drink or eat some things that they would find very difficult to abstain from should it be required.

While I enjoy many foods and will happily drink, wine, beer or, in certain situations, something stronger, the one substance I really could not give up is coffee.

If I do not have the requisite two cups in the morning, strong, black, and unsweetened, I am unable to function and my entire day becomes a bad dream..... :D

How about the rest of you? :)

IMO, the best reason for never becoming a vegetarian is bacon. I could never give that up.

And the old chestnut...Marmite!!! If that was wiped off the face of the earth, I would shed many tears...

Thin toasted Mighty White...lightly buttered...then slap the Marmite on...ooh I can taste it already. Damn the bread's gone mouldy :D

peanut based products, salted, roasted, butterified or raw, they rule. as does marmite on toast. :)

and speaking of tormenting vegetarians with bacon, my parents are both vegetarian, and my weekly fry-up drives my mum insane, as the whole house smells of it.

I figured I would never give tea up, but due to the doctors advice, it had to go. (Doing so did get rid of my constant heartburn as the doc said it would)

I will not give up my grits though. The only way is to pry them from my cold dead hands!

I like my coffee, only not so brutal ;) Before midday I will have had four cups (erm mugs) the rest of the day is tea - and too much of. I hear there is more caffiene in tea than coffee *shrugs*. What I guess, is my stomach must be more badly stained by tannin, than my lungs have been with tar

Strange as it might seem, all my uncles and aunts have to have coffee (Some even drink it all day). I on the other hand rarely drink it. I'm hyper enough without it.....and the world doesn't need me anymore hyper than I am. :D
