And once you reach 10,000 you go back to being just a plain member.

Look at it as life.

At the age of 1 post you are born. From then till post 50 you go to school and learn. At 51 you are sent out to get a job and better yourself. Now from this day forward you make a living, buy the new spam, get to know the other spammers. Now along the way, some do take the ill advised path and get the death sentence (Banned), but this is life. At the age of 10,000 post you enter retirement, not to say you quit posting, but your days of working to get another laugh are at an end. Once this goal is reached you should get a laugh just by the amount of post you have. If not, you should at least get some pity for all of your wasted time.

Don't listen to them, Willa_Ly!

An exalted member is someone who pays the annual GameBanshee membership dues of $197.40 (cashier's check, money order or credit card only) and buys the first five posters in their first SYM thread an advance copy of Neverwinter Nights.

Oh, and you have to buy anyone with a Star Wars-related avatar a year's supply of hominy grits.

I wholeheartedly agree with you HLD. Image Image
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Welcome to SYM, hope you like it. Make sure you come visit the Rolling Thunder (TM) some time.
EDIT-Oh, yeah, don't forget to add your details to the "Updated anatomy"sticky at the top of the page, like I did for a few months after joining here.

@Kayless:
Kenobi is cool, man, although the radioactive dancing disco frog is still you. They're having a midnight showing of AOTC up here; tickets are already on sale. I picked mine up when I bought Spider-Man tickets last night.

McGregor as Kenobi is pretty cool, too; he's sure better than Jake Lloyd as Anakin.

(I think the real reason why Kayless switched his avatar was to get the grits.)

I'm putting the Frog on sabbatical for a while. Anyway, I’m going to attempt to see AotC on the midnight showing here too (though I might have to settle for a weekend viewing). Image On the bright side, I'm seeing Spider-Man later today. Image

I feel Ewan McGregor is a worthy successor to Guinness. Ep2 seems to capture more of that old Kenobi feel (I especially like the "Death Sticks" scene). Image

Talk about damning him with faint praise... ;)

@Kayless I dunno about AotC yet, but in TPM he was way off the coolness factor of Alec Guinness :p

@Ode are you crazy? Who the hell would want a dancing frog avatar?!? :D

Just check out my (current sig) for the Death Sticks scene. Ewan plays it very cool and droll. The Across the Stars music video (which can be downloaded off the Offical Site) features this scene in the begining.

Hey, who would want Algore the donkey as their avatar? (yeah it's deliberately misspelled) Image

Have to agree with Georgi here, Eeyore has style. After Tigger he's my favourite Winnie the Pooh character.
