Jedi Knight 2

Okay, hopefully we have some people hanging around that have this game and can help. Single player works fine, but multiplayer will work for a minute or so, then boot me out of game (both on Gamespy, and in game server lists). I have the required specs. The error it gives me is CL_PursePacketEntities: End of Message. anyone know anything about it?

Sounds like it might be a patchable offence that comes about due to the packet not sending correctly. Sometimes games just go out of sync....bad netcode perhaps. Since it uses the Q3 engine this is quite weird. I didn't experience any problems over LAN.

Have you tried playing it at really low resolution etc?

I could try that. I've already checked out the Forums for that game, and it seems a lot of other people have had the same problem though.

Nope, didn't work. I have been thinking though (after reading the troubleshoot) that my firewall may have something to do with that. Anyone know how to turn a firewall off using Windows ME?

You could in theory use msconfig to stop it loading at startup. There should however be an option in the program to stop it loading at startup....what program are you using as a firewall?
