Assasins (or any thief) + use any item + spike trap = overkill

Just found this out, everybody here probably already knew it, but im seriously killing every mob in the game without even getting hit.

I let my Assasin borrow Sarevok's Helm of blahblah, the one with Simularicum, then I use the clone to set traps, pull the mob, boom!

next mob, i use my "real" assasin, and again "boom".

Im killing Melissan right now.. not too difficult

A real mean assassin u got there, why didnt u dual him to a mage?
He would have been more mean.. ;)
Woe to you, Oh Earth and Sea, for the Devil sends the beast with wrath, because he knows the time is short...
Let him who has understanding reckon the number of the beast for it is a human number, its number is Sixhundred and sixtysix."

Dual-classing is not always the best idea. I hate it, because I find the original class often becomes useless, being quickly overtaken in terms of power, and you also have that class out of action for far too long while you wait for the new one to get high enough.

Plus, I found it a lot more advantageous to have a high level assassin than a dual-classed one. And taking an elf or a halfling means you're stuck with a single class.

Single classes of the world, unite! Or, something.

If you dual a thief that already got special abilities you will probably regain your thief very very late in the game, but you can dual a fighter (or kit) to a thief maybe at lv 9 (you'll regain the abilities very quickly), so you'll be playing the whole game as a thief (unfortunatly not an assassin) with great hit points, better Thac0, mastery and if you dual from a kit some nice extra abilities (Kensai: hitting speed, AC bonus, kai for great backstabbing; berserker: rage(!!); wizard slayer: M.R.) and with UAI you will solve any restriction of the kits.
