I am not about the specs of this forum, but i have a problem with my comp.
My comp loads up 3 programs or something which stall during the upload.
My comp works fine i have no problems, but everytime i press crtl alt delete, i can see these files/programs and when i press end task it is not responding.
Sometimes, these cause the comp to slow down and crash and are damn annoying when i play BG2 with TDD.
It is not a TDD problem, as when i close these 3 to 4 programs it works fine.
And all of them are not responding as soon as i start up.
I want to get rid of them, as in make sure they don't start up at all, but i have no clue how to do so.
Any and all help would be nice.
The files are as follows and as they appear on my crtl alt del window
Qttask
Loadqm

If you are running win2k or winxp I can send you a startup manager which takes only 88KB - this tool will help you to avoid any system files editing. if you are a win9x user there's a shortcut to a similar thing in the start menu -> accessories, just look for a software that has menus like win.ini, command.com(cant remember the name) there you can select what do you want to be started when windows is loaded... so again, you will avoid editing sys files.
EDIT: I wrote evoid instead of avoid, english is not my native language but this is too much

I have Loadqm on my comp. Virus checkers don't pick it up so I just leave it there. It doesn't work, but when I go on the internet or do an important task like defrag, I turn it off.Originally posted by CM

The userfriendly program is somewhere in start menu -> accessories IIRC I'll check it up at friends place tomorrow and post the name here.
Regedit is a program used to edit registry entries, regedit.exe inside you windows directory (but you better wait for me to post the name of the other one -I'll do it asap)

QTask seems to be a thingy from Quick Time to help it start up faster.
Loadqm is something used by MSN.
Hpoopm07 I could trace to a HP-printer thingy driver.
The 2 first should be removable by going into:
msconfig (type it in your run box) and going to the "Start" (or what it is called in your version (last item with me)). THere you should be able to disable them.
It will do no harm to remove them
As for the last, if you do have a HP-printer - try chekking out the official site for these.
