Cult of the Unseeing Eye

I might have discovered a bug or something in this quest.

I have obtained both pieces of the rod. I've played the quest before, and I knew that the big bad Unseeing Eye would wait for me around the corner. First time I did this quest, I had no problems putting him out before he could do any serious damage, but this time he cast 'Power Word: Death'(or something) on Keldorn. Keldorn went down. I wanted Keldorn to recieve experience, so I reloaded. Exactly the same thing happened the second time. I reloaded again. This time, I didn't take Keldorn with me around the corner. But the stupid Unseeing Eye never showed up! Of course.. I had no savegames-slots from earlier in this mission(i love quick-saves). I went up to see the members of the cult again.. but they weren't hostile or anything. When I talked to Gaal(the leader), he asked if I had obtained the rod. The only thing I could answer was that I hadn't obtained it yet.

Is this a bug or just a big time screw-up by me???

Any response would be nice

not sure of what you meant there...

i searched around in the dungeon a little bit, but I didn't find him.. so I went up to the cult again. Searched some more, but nothing happened

Hi there!
I think I knew where "around the corner" you stood at the beginning. Just at the place where you find the second part of the rod, right?
But there is more information needed to solve this problem.
After you reloaded your game (when Keldorn had died) did you take the second part of the rod? Was is assembled then again?
Have you then been waiting for some seconds for the EYE to arrive?

There is a bug involved with the rod. If you re-load, you need to load a savegame prior to picking up the second piece. Baldurdash has a patch available: Unseeing Eye Not Appearing Fix.
