Kivan gone?

Kivan gone?
I left kivan in nashkel and when i came back for him he was gone, does he go back to where you first find him? I really need him.
I hate people who tell me that life is short - tell me one thing you do that is longer.

Well, usually it goes like this with such quests.
1. You add Kivan, timer starts, you wipe out bandits, timer stops, Kivan happy.
2. You add Kivan, timer starts, you don't wipe out bandits (coz you are not interested, or coz you already done so), timer doesn't stop, you let out Kivan somewhere and Kivan thinks "let (charname) ..... .....!! and goes after them himselves and is never to be found.
Morale of the story, make sure you always get the quest, before you finish it (or finish it off as in the case of the bandits)
