i posted this under the BG topic too before i noticed the tech support topic ... hope *some*one can help ;)
Can't Even install ...
Anyone else have any sort of problem installing on a W2k machine? The Autorun pops up fine, but when I click "Install", it acts like it's loading for a couple moments then quits out. When I run setup.exe, nothing happens as well! I loved this game when I first played it a few years ago ... but now I can't even get it to run. =( If someone's setup.exe is a different size than 60,928 bytes (59.5 kb), could you send it up here (zipped of course)? Then again ... I doubt the problem would be that easy to solve ;)

If you have about 5gigs of free hard drive space, try copying all your CDs onto your hard drive and running the installation from there :)

You can always delete these files after the installation is complete to free the space back up - good luck!

Thanks ;) But the problem actually turned out to be a rather largish abrasion in the CD itself, causing access to data1.cab to be denied. After returning the game and swapping out CD1, I'm up and running. Have yet to pop into a multiplayer game, though. Mayhaps soon ;)
