Possible Spoilers!
OK, so I am in the prison of Curst, and something odd occured: I talked to the Deva (Trist?), and he told me to go get the sword. At the time, I did not have it, but while talking to him I came to a conversation end (you know, where the only option is to say: "I see. Farewell.") Well, I turned right around to talk to him again, to follow up on some of the conversation threads I had missed, and one of the options was: "Is this the sword you were looking for?" Well, I took that option and freed him, and LATER found Celestial Fire. Is this a bug?
Second: now, when I try to leave the prison (through the portal near Vhailor), my computer hangs up (crashes).
Could the two be related? Has anyone else had computer glitches down in the prison area?
Thanks, in advance.

I strongly suspect they're related, and the first is definitely a bug. (What else?) Do you have an autosave before you entered the area that you can return to? It sounds like it loaded improperly.

I have an autosave a while back ... I just wanted to avoid falling back to it. There are a lot of Curst Guards between then and now.
Have you ever heard of this bug before?

My game periodically crashes, too. I don't believe the glitch you experienced with Trias caused the crash, and in fact, it is a known exploit.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...
What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Incidentally, that was the area in which I used Annah like an assassin, having her hide, attack, run, and repeat. She usually killed a guard in one to two shots. The rest of my party simply sat things out.

Thanks
OK, thanks everybody. I had a feeling that the sword and the crash were NOT related - just a gut feeling. But after about six attempts, I finally decided to just leave the sword laying at the feet of a dead Vhailor, and head out. It worked - I think just coincidentally. I'm in the outlands now, and not too concerned at the loss of Celestial Fire - I'm a mage, and none of the others in my group could use it anyway.
Thanks!
