How good is Emmeric (NPC)

How good is Emmeric (NPC)
What is Emmeric useful at? He has really his intelligence, but i already have a thief. Can i successfully Multiclass him to something else, other then rogue???
Emmeric turned to be a powerfull ally for my party. I had the same thought when he reached level 16. What class should i chooce after that. Seeing that he had intelligence up to 16 i finally chooce to multi him with a rogue even though i had a thief in my party. I made him rogue not for then search and disarming abilities but for tha sneak attacks and evasion. After a few levels he had almost all skills and feats and could critical or sneak attack a target as easy as hitting him

The only other class i had in mind was to make him sorcerer and give him one of the items that raise charisma by 4 points, since his charisma was only 10, so that he could cast a few spells and be able to use wands and scrolls, but i dropped that idea cause low level spells weren't much effective at that point.
