Is it easy to switch between twohanders and spells? Or is it a lot of button pressing? I used to go one handed weapon in right hand, spell in left.
Also, is the lack of a shield deadly?
Finally, how does Magic & Elemental Resistance stack? If I get 25% Magic Resist (from Breton, for example) and 20% Fire Resist, do I have 45% Resist to Fire damage then?
Thanks in advance!
Twohanded weapons and spells
Spells are equipped like weapons, so every time you'd want to cast a spell, you'd have to equip the spell, which would unequip your weapon, and then you'd have to re-equip your weapon. I'm guessing that would get tedious after a while.
For the resists, my understanding is that they're multiplicative, not additive. So for your example, the magic resist would remove 25% of the damage, and then the fire resist would remove 20% of the remaining 75%, for 40% total. Magic resist and elemental resists are also capped at 85%, so you can't quite resist all damage.

The lack of a shield isn't really that problematic, you can still block melee, and you deal far more damage with a great hammer. Ranged enemies are slightly more problematic, though every spell school has a way to deal with those. If you use destruction, you can always fling fireballs while closing, with illusion you can simply turn invisible to approach, with alteration you simply give yourself a shield against the damage type, with conjuration you summon a ranged guy yourself and with restoration you have wards (like shields but looks so much cooler that I use them despite the manna cost). Finally you could always simply sneak, or use the blink shout (you get it early in the main quest) to teleport close to enemies.
Switching between spells shouldn't be too problematic as long as you don't do much of it within combat (so you might want to avoid destruction).

Yes, just use the hot keys! With my Battlemage I have 5 set to ranged weapons, 4 to melee weapons, 7 to healing spell and others to other spells I use, quick and easy.

I play a 2 handed orc crafter as my first build. I found health and stamina the most important and the only spells I used were oakflesh before my armor got massive and bound battleaxe strictly for soul trapping. Stamina can help against archers because you can sprint. And 2 hander there is a move/perk where you can charge and deal an automatic critical hit! (if you time it right
) Protection from magic is important to find or enchant because magic is ranged and it hurts more than the bows, I didn't find too many elite archers.
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.
