Recovering a lost module?

Post by QuenGalad »

I'm not sure whether anyone here can actually answer, but... I've been toying with the editor for quite some time, creating small adventures usually centered around some forests and druids. Nothing fancy, but then considering i don't know the first thing about programming it was pretty big deal :)

Lately I've been dabbling at a module that was entirely different and a lot of fun. Unfortunately, the toolset would sometimes crash all the way to the bluescreen, pretty scary looking. On next opening it would always prompt me to "open an emergency backup, or it will be destroyed".
Last time this happened, it was before I actually made any worthwhile changes, and I wanted to work on something else for a while, so I clicked "no". I figured no work would be lost and I knew there are two files for each module ("normal" and backup) so I thought I still have the original module. But now the toolset won't open the actual module file at all, just pops up "could not open module."

So, is this particular adventure lost forever or can something be done here?
