A question for any and all CHEATERS out there, who work with sorcerors!

Post by UserUnfriendly »

Finally getting to the point where I have comepletely figured out the spell limits of a sorceror. The biggest trouble I've had in the past was sheer blasted greed. I wanted many, many spells per level, so when I activated chain contingency, or spell trigger, I had problems with not showing all spells per level, dropping spells! i had, over ten level 7th spells, for example, and only 6-8 showed on the screen for chain contingencey. now what I was interested in is creating an uber char for my self with all the spells I wanted, as good a selection as a mage, and I dropped all triggers and chains. I took all the spells I wanted and was happy. but its a very different role play as sorceror with no triggers and chains...lots of disable spells and lots of timestops.

now I want to play with triggers and chains again. losing interest in the game, want to get something similar to the standard sorc with triggers and chains, now that I know really which spells I actually use...but I still am interested in making my char as cheated as possible. so what I was wondering is this...

how many spells per level can you have that will not overload and casue the chain contingency screen to start dropping spells?

I think its around 8-9, and if noone knows, it will be time for me to start experimenting...

but if anyone has experimented with adding spells to the sorc class, please post a reply.

I am also interested in stability... if such a hacked sorc has casued the game to go buggy or not, and react in wierd ways.

I suspect 5 per level is absolutely stable, but 6 might be possible. sigh. the problem with playing a sorc is envying a mage, but when ever I go thru an npc spell book, I get so annoyed with it....

some one respond, please!

my sorceress has 6 spells of each level, and no problems...that's the best i can help you with, i got them by dropping her experience down so she would level up normally again adding new spells.

i used SK to set my level lower, and looked at the XP chart in the manual to make sure it all matched up.
another advantage of this...if you don't mind cheating and powergaming...is your hitpoints go up, yoru saving throws get lower, and you get slightly better thac0.

Thanks! what level, I am interested. probably will go back to my usual shadow keepre in all the spells I want hto....but if six is stable with chains and triggers, well, my biggest peeve was with level 7, so many nice spells....but here are a couple of tricks you may not be aware of...if you think with 6 spells showing in the chain cont screen works ok, and is stable, guess what, there are "silent" spells that never show up, so its ok to not count those and get an extra combat spell for that level. for example, in level 4, minor sequencer will never show itslef in a spell trigger screen or chain contingency, so if you chose that, get another spell or add it to the spell book, you'll be ok.

identify and spell immunity doesn't show up either! so those are safe to add any time!

I hate to say this, but this is my improved sorceress mark 24 or so!!!!

Yes, I've fooled around with the sorc spell book around 24 stinking times! this time I may get everything right! Can you say anal retentive ????

I may have to submit a game faq to game banshee once I get everything perfected...

sigh. :D :D :D

LOL, i rarely play the sorc myself i find editing the mage much simpler, but hmm i might challenge myself to editing the sorc. hmm that's the only class i haven't played much at all, including swashbuckers,

5 more class to go then i will have played every single class though SoA to the end of ToB

heh i got no life do i :)

I thought saving throws and thac0 corrected itself to the level you are on.
