There was a fan-made mod who won the contest to be the "official" transition between this two campaigns, but I can't find it anymore. Does anyone remember which one this is?

I think the module you are looking for is Shadohaunt.

Let me know your opinions on the module, I never actually tried it - though once I am finished my current game was considering doing a SoU and HoTU run through.

Hey, I just had a curious thought. Are there any transition mods from the OC to SoU?

I think SoU takes place more or less at the same time as the OC, so not so sure there would be any sort of bridge.

There are some interesting mods that extend the OC story-line with Aribeth - but as she gets offed, they are not exactly canon.
