DM Client has messed up my game!!!!!!

HELP please
My PC needed a system restore due to some dodgy games from Internet. Before deciding on restore, my game would not load as my graphics version was not compatible?? (weird, as I've only had my brand new PC with ATI Radeon HD 4350 for a few months), with 'playing around' (yes, I admit to that) I clicked on DM client AND update, somewhere in between, something went wrong and although my game DOES load properly now and with my latest save, my party members and any other 'people' are now invisible and if I right click on the party member portraits, it comes up with loads of strange options, 'nodes' this and 'dm' that. I HAVE tried to load previous saves, but same problem. I seem to have done something to the 'central' program files, please help, how can I undo this mess????
