Vampire Question

Post by Ragin Cajun »

I've done a search but all the threads I see are related to becoming a vampire a second time or the Vampire Cure quest line.

My questions are three-fold:

1. After reading the Wiki and searching here, there is really no direction on what to actually DO as a vampire. Is there anything beyond the Cure Quest? (This may show up in my log after a few days, but I'm not sure.)

2. Where can you see if you are infected? I cleaned out a dungeon but did my killing at range with a bow. Don't recall getting bitten. I never got a pop-up saying I had the Vampire disease (Py... Hemophilia or something like that). I actually show no diseases contracted on my character log but then when I go to sleep I get a message that pops up and then my log shows that I have been a vampire for one day...prior to sleeping it's no days showing up.

3. Per the Wiki, you can drink a regular Cure Disease potion to cure your Py.. Hemophilia. I drank three with no effect.

So, a little confused and lost here with the vampire thing and don't want to start the Cure Quest unless I have too.

Thanks.

Once you've had the dream and become a vampire cure disease doesn't work.

To find out if you've got porphoric hemophilia (spelling's probably wrong) check your current magical effects (far right tab on the spell screen) if you have it you should have a Drain Fatigue effect, check it and you should see what's causing it.

You don't have to get bitten to catch the disease, just looting a vampire's corpse can cause it too.

OK. I'll have to go back a few saves and check around but I think I know where I caught it now based on that info.

That was it. When going for Mehrune's Razor in the DLC I guess I caught it. Fixed it and moving on...thanks!
