I went thru the walk-through, but I can't find the skeletal hand with the dairy page. What am I missing? Normally, you select the quest from the chalice Icon on the map, but I tried that to no avail. What am I missing?

Not much info to go on, but the skeletal hand appears when the Urn falls over from the cabinet in the downstairs room, this only happens once you have tried to sleep in the property and the ghosts have appeared.

As killty said. After you sleep there, you should get a message that something fell over - if you have the diary, you already know that. The skeletal hand is on the floor with the diary page. If you missed it, go back and look again. You may have accidentally kicked it aside while you were moving about, so check carefully.
