Ok so I'm doing the quest where you pretend to kill a guy in debt before the loan shark kills him.So I poison the guy and run away. Then I return after a couple of days.Went to the chapel undercroft. So basicly I'm supposed to revive him with an antidote but he's awake!I don't have the option to talk to him,or to give him the antidote the only option is to kill him which I don't want to do.Please help me.
P.S
I know most of you hate the dark brother hood and have a hard time finishing the quest line (fable, wench)
Dark brotherhood quest glitch!
You're supposed to go back the following day, not a couple of days later. If by a couple you men three or more then the cells would have re-spawned, which could be the root cause of your problem. Also when you say poison the guy I assume you mean you stabbed him with the Languorwine Knife and that you hadn't actually coated it with any additional poison.Zeroxxl wrote:Ok so I'm doing the quest where you pretend to kill a guy in debt before the loan shark kills him.So I poison the guy and run away. Then I return after a couple of days.Went to the chapel undercroft. So basicly I'm supposed to revive him with an antidote but he's awake!I don't have the option to talk to him,or to give him the antidote the only option is to kill him which I don't want to do.Please help me.

I suggest you reload a save you made shortly after 'killing' him and trying again, or before you 'killed' him if you used the wrong weapon or had poisoned the knife yourself.
If you're playing o a PC then as a last resort you could use the console (see the sticky) the code you need to enter is
. If you aren't on a PC then your only option is to revert to a previous save, or forget the Dark Brotherhood.SetStage Dark05Assassinated 60
