I remember having a few breakdowns back when I played through the game the first time. Suddenly it would exit to windows or simply freeze. Also after battle I would often be stuck unable to move. However now in my second run through the game I experience trouble more often? It freezes and exits to windows for no reason. Today it happens every time I defeat some rakghouls in the sewer.
Have others experienced similar problems? What could be the reason? What can I do?
I turned down graphics a bit, hoping it would help. It doesn't. Anyway my pc isn't slow. I have patch 1.03. Please help, I waste too much time loading the game and then my save over and over again
I might add that in my first time through the game I could usually go somewhere else do some things and then go back to the place where it would freeze and then come through without problems. I just tried that in my current game. Doesn't work. Still breaks down....?
It means I can't go through the sewers unless I can switch my whole team to god mode (don't know how). If I kill the rakghouls it freezes when the last one dies grrr
Do you have any other programs running in memory, such as virus scanners, contact managers, etc, that you could temporarily disable?
Also, what is your video card, and how much RAM have you got? What flavor of Windows are you running?

I have avg anti virus, but it only scans when I manually make it. I have switched harddrive since last game where I simply copied the whole game directory over to the new hd. Could this have messed up something?
I always had these problems with Kotor, but now it's worse in that I can't go elsewhere and then come back later to the problem spot.
If I remember correctly I also had a cheat program (fan made) which I used for fun after completing the game. To be honest I don't know if it's still on my pc and I can't remember the name of that program. I never actually had any problems when using it, but now when I get thrown out to windows I feel I must mention in the hope that it could help. However when it didn't cause problems back then why would it now - especially when I'm not using it?
Again I also have problems with the not-able-to-move-after-combat thing. I always had that back when I first played the game. Solution: Save, then load savegame. But it's annoying and takes time

If you just copied over your previous directories without reinstalling, then that would very likely cause problems. Copy your saved game to another directory, delete the game, and install it correctly.
Also, turn off AVG when you're running the game. Couldn't hurt.
