Yes, you can import your BG1 pc character into BG2. But you can't do it the other way round ;)

Cheers

Sorry, but I've just noticed the plural.

Do you mean to import the whole party of BG1 into BG2? If so, no, you can't. Just your main pc character, or any of the characters you have created for playing BG1.

When you create a char in BG2, it's at a high level(by BG1 standards). I'm not sure exactly what level, though because I've only played importing my char from BG1.

About 7 something, if I remember well.

So it seems worth while to create a new pc character for BG2, unless you intent going through the whole series with your original one.

But if you want the golden pantaloons in bg2, you have to play through Baldur's Gate...

Of course! But then, I have never managed to find the Bronze ones. :)

If you import into BG2, your character will be set at 89000 XP, unless you had TotSC installed, in which case he/she'll be set at 161000.

You won't really need the XP that much; you'll end up at the limit anyway.

XyX, my ranger ended BG1 at lvl 9. If I had started another ranger in BG2 he would've been lvl 7, not 9, so I ended up with more XP in BG1 then the 161000 you mentioned.

I have read somewhere, that it is possible to export if you copy your singleplayer party to multiplayer, but I am not sure about that. I could be mistaken

Think you should import your character anyway, I mean, it just give's the addiction an other boost.
I'm still mad about the loss of my way to go level 9 fighter/thief I had in 1 and have duplicated it in BG2, butt it isn't the same.
