Nope, "Ethereal" items are meant to be that way, non repairable but with better stats than normal.

Unless the item has "repairs 1 durability in X seconds" as a mod, there is nothing you can do to save your ethereal item. Well, of course you can socket it and put a Zod rune in it, but the chance of finding a Zod rune is so small so you will find 100000000000 excellent armours before you find a Zod rune.

The best thing to do with ethereal items is to give them to your merc, since a merc will never wear out durability of any item. I always look for ethereal weapons and armour to give my merces because, as Sib points out, they have better stats than the normal items. So an etheral weapon does more damage and an ethereal armour have higher defense.

And interestingly enough, the Zod rune isn't really worth that much within the Battle.net community. I've been trying to get rid of mine for days now.

@Crenshinibon: If it is legit and self-found, keep it :) 99.9999999...% of all Zod runes (and all other high runes) that circulate are duped, so why not keep it? Make yourself a legit BOTD, if nothing else - it will one of very, very few.
I would think the reason that Zod it is not that valuable is because it can only be used for one runeword, the BOTD, so although it's the highest rune it is not considered as useful as Jah or Ber, that are in lots of runeworlds.

It's fine. I currently don't have any characters that could even use it. I managed to trade it for a medium paladin torch, so I'm happy. I see Zods for trade all the time. I didn't find it myself however, someone traded it to me for a Hel rune, so either they were generous or they were trying to get rid of it.

I have to assume that you play online? If you do, what is your account name and which realm do you play on?

There is one other option, that is socketing the item with a runeword that has ind, though of course this is very limited and in several cases more expensive than zod'ing the item.
