Arinth Quest

Well, I goofed. I'm trying to complete all secondary quests and finally realized that I must have sold (is that really possible?) one of the items. I have the stone and it is obvious that I have visited the second area (no spirit) but don't find a spirit in the last area. What could I have done?

Sounds like a bug/quirk to me, though I've not run into that one myself.

It's not possible to sell the items of the staff as they are quest items in your logbook, not your inventory. Only the completed staff is an inventory item.

Are all three staff pieces in your journal under Quest items? And if so, have you tried talking to the mage in town? Even if you don't have the 3rd piece, I'd suggest trying to talk to the mage anyway. She may assemble the staff anyway, or it might kick the quest flags to getting the ghost back. (small chance, but only thing I can think of.)

Thank you for the reply. I found that I was much too tired to play last night because this morning I realized I didn't have the parts and weren't in the rights places to get them. Have now finished that particular quest and moving on to the next part.
