Little Disapointed

Post by telemantros »

Seeing that the Xbox360 is comming out soon, i am a little dissapointed in seeing that there was not Kotor III for the xbox. The secound Kotor left an obvious opening for a third title but if and when that ever happens it will no doubt be comming out on the xbox360 now instead of the xbox.

Too bad, but oh well i guess. :(

That is too bad. From the look of the game design from the last one, the software for this one may be buggy too, and they may make it too advanced for any but the newer kinds of computer, which will also put computer users disadvantaged as well.

I don't mind it's for the 360, I just hope they upgrade the engine to take advantage of it. The worst thing that can happen is for the game to look like I and II but require the 360. Since the graphics didn't change much between I and II, they are starting to look very dated compared to some of the other stuff out there. Above all I hope they have enough time/resources to finish the game.

This is, probably, a post more appropriately geared toward the KOTOR3 forum.

All in all, I'm up in the air about it. It could, potentially, be a good thing if it forces the developers to actually make KoTOR3 more of an original work than the second one. I'd imagine, as well, that X-Box 360 folks would envision KoTOR3 as a flagship title for the new console, so they'll probably put a bit of extra work into it. However, It's unfortunate for those of us who are up in the air about whether we'll buy an X-Box 360, in that it may hinder our ability to ever play the title - assuming it does get made. But, honestly, it's not that much of a tragedy. I wouldn't be surprised to see several more KOTOR games in the future, as long as they keep selling. It is inevitable that a platform change occur at some point.

I apologize, I didn't check and see if there was a Kotor III forum; guess there is one now, apologies. However, i do agree with you. I'm getting more and more busy with my degrees in college and in turn am having less and less time to play games which leads me to think that I won't buy a xbox 360. Graphics don't really bug me too much, suprisingly, as long as the story line is good. I do think, however, that if a title ever does come out on xbox360 or any of the next gen consoles, that improved graphics would be a needed asset. Who knows, maybe they could release it for both xbox and the next gen consoles. I thought that there was a company doing this with a game already, the game had something to do with the mob in NY or something.
