be honest now, is d2 multiplayer fun?

I've played it around 4 times single player, but got extremely bored at the start of nightmare.

Is multiplayer any better? or is it just a collection of cheaters, dupers, and 1337speakers who "cow" and "meph" all the time.
Also, I don't know the slang and have had very little uniques. (I'm a relative newb as far as that goes...)

Ok, this is my honest opinion:

Playing in open Bnet games is sometimes fun if you happen to meet the right people, but often it's just irritating. Lots of kids who think they are soooo cool, using 1337 and jargon, calling everybody else n00bs etc. Trading is full of dupes, I would'nt recommend anyone to trade with people they don't know and trust already, unless for less valuable items such as perfect gems for a medium good item.

However, it's still much more fun to play in a party than single, so the solution is either to play with friends, as I do, or to join a community such as The Amazon Basin, which has organized games of different types, special "newbie introduction" games at scheduled times and strive for playing as a community.

I had no fun playing it MP...I was a barbarian, a friend of mine a sorceress so it was really stupid. I was useless. I managed to hit Diablo 2 twice before he slaughtered him with a couple of spells.

You should start out at the same level and build your chars together.... it's a lot more fun that way imo. atleast the first times through.... then after a while you get used to rushing and you'll just want it to be over so that you can mf ^^

After my Bnet experiences with D2, i couldnt play it in single player whatso ever... its so much better on multi player. Theirs like a currency and **** its great.

Watch for ridiculous scams, if its too good to be true than it isnt.!
