Congratulations. You're Now God/dess

That's right. You've won a celestial sweepstakes (which you didn't know you'd entered), and been made THE force controlling, understanding, originating and flowing within the universe. (And probably other stuff, too.)

However, as with most sweepstakes, this one has some legal fine print. More specifically, you can only change *one* thing in the universe, anywhere. Then you revert back to your normal, grubby, disgusting mortal existence.

And you can't refuse to use that ability. If you do, at the end of twenty-four hours, you change back, anyway.

What would you change? :)

The people who breed like rabbits and abuse their children, are naturally sterile.

And the people who long to have a child, and would treat that child with the respect and love he/she deserves, but can't have them -- cna now have them.

Voila, the world is fixed :D

Yes, I always wondered about the logic of that.....
Regarding the question, I'll have to think a bit, there's a fair amount on my wish list, so not sure. Actually, I think I'd just like to be benevolent world dictator. :D

The human nature.

Away goes the expansionism and imperialism, the need for power to control others and the world we live in. Instead we'll be like less hariy Dwarf chimps. :)

@C Elegans, what single thing would you change in human nature to achieve this effect of eliminating imperialism?

Very difficult question, Fable. This is mere speculation, but I believe imperialism stems from the need for expansion which I believe is connected to what Nietzsche called "the will to power". This is not power in the sense we usually mean in normal language, it's a broader concept. So, in Nietzsches terminology, I'd remove the will to power, and away goes a lot of destructive things.

EDIT: Grrr...I can spell Nietzsche correctly, but not "terminology"

@Xandax, I'm afraid your "action" is deemed to fall outside those allowed by the Convention of Cliched Plot Devices of 1751. As such, your physical existence is currently being terminated. Please check the "Death Comes Knocking" thread for more details. Thank you. :)
