Just so I understand correctly magical aptitude is your dmg modifier for spells. So the more spells I learn the more my magical aptitude goes up right? Also what does Dexterity do specifically, if anything for a caster.

Correct. It also affects the bonuses you gain from magical equipment, that is the bonuses (the ones in paranthesis) are equal to the multiplication of that number and magickal power available percentage.

Also what does Dexterity do specifically, if anything for a caster.

Higher DX gives you higher speed so you can cast more spells in one round.
