Help with problem

Post by Jaysjustice »

I was going into crater supplys in Megtron and accidently fired gun. "did not shot anyone" Now everyone is killing me. I cant even get to gate to leave before I die. I have house in megtron and don't want to lose it. There a way i can get them to stop killing me short of starting new game?

Run away from Megaton, and stay away for about 4 in-game days. WAY away.

This will reset things in the city.

Supposedly if you holster your weapon people might stop attacking you, but I've never tried it. At worst, the game should have auto-saved when you entered Megaton, so you shouldn't have to go back too far for a safe save.

SWC
Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

problem is........

1. can't get to gate to leave before die.

2. tried unholstering weapon still kill me.

3. auto saves as i enter building "then shooting", thus putting me into battle. so saved into fight.

4. never tried fighting my way to gate. (always afraid make worse)

If I have to start over i will but will suck. Was hoping someone would have trick to get me out this.

Try quickly running to a place where most NPCs don't go (like on the hillside behind the waterworks & Lucas Simms' house near the town wall) and go into sneak mode. The people will still be hostile, but if you find a safe place to hide they can't shoot you and they won't search carefully. A stealth boy would be a big help if you have one. Another place I've successfully hidden is in the private bedroom in the common house. Turn right, stay close to the wall and close the door. Even if someone comes in looking for you, they usually can't get you through the door.
Can the answer to this question be "No"?
