Stuck in Fighter's Guild

Post by Homer Simpson »

I completed the troll's quest where the guild's son gets killed, but didn't get kicked out. After Oryan (I don't care how you actually spell it) told me to "lay low" I went and completed the next two quests through Harlun's Watch. I was given the ring and received payment from Burz, who told me to check with Azzan for another contract. I did, but Azzan told me to check with Burz! It's a never-ending circle. I have visited the other guild halls to check for other quests, and even went to Donton herself to see if she would demote me so I could do the Stone of St. Alesia quest and be promoted and get on with things and ... NOTHING! What am I doing wrong? I EVEN tried to get kicked out of the guild by punching one of the members to see if that would jumpstart things, and they didn't even kick me out. I'm stuck at Warder. Help, please!

Somehow you've managed to do things out of order. The Stone of Alessia quest should have been done before 'The Daughter' and 'Harlun's Watch' Quests. Also you don't get kicked out of the guild for the 'Trolls of the forsaken mine' faux pas, just demoted two ranks, Oreyn gets kicked out.

If you're playing on a PC there is a work around possibly, not sure what can be done if anything on a console. You could try talking to Oreyn in Chorrol though, that's were you would have to go after 'Harlun's Watch' normally.
