Congratulations, Casting Director!

That's right! In keeping with Inteplay's policy of increased interaction with their userbase, you, our favorite player of all time, get to choose which actors' voices are used for BG3, and for what roles! Not only that, but thanks to Brian Fargo (Interplay's CEO), we can even summon the dead back to life!

So who do you want, playing want? Basil Rathbone as Irenicus' successor? Sean Connery as a Ranger NPC? Marilyn Monroe as Imoen?
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Eddie Murphy as the voice of your familiar. I'm sorry, but after watching Mulan, Eddie Murphy has gotta have the coolest voice for that role! :D

Hmmm... alan rickman and Jeremy Irons, both played bad guys in a die hard movie... connection? :D

Any body passing through solid matter will leave a perforation conforming to its perimeter. Also called the silhouette of passage, this phenomenon is the speciality of victims of directed-pressure explosions and of reckless cowards who are so eager to escape that they exit directly through the wall of a house, leaving a cookie-cutout-perfect hole. The threat of skunks or matrimony often catalyzes this reaction.

@Veh well not specifically, they are just both excellent bad guys, I was thinking more of Jeremy Irons in the Lion King, Alan Rickman in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves... as opposed to doing a German accent... ;)

Oh but you have to love that accent though ;) Hans Gruber :D

Prince of Theaves... hmm... dare I say the only decent movie Kevin Costner ever starred in :D

Interesting how you pick Jeremy Irons for the bad guy and yet you disliked D&D movie ;)

Decent? hmmmm. :p :D Admittedly one of his better ones, but still...
Not-quite-gratuitous movie quote: "Unlike some Robin Hoods, I can speak with an English accent." :D

Jeremy Irons is a great bad guy... but he overacts appalingly in DnD. Lowers himself to the level of the rest of the cast, perhaps :p ;)

Heh, find me a better film that Kevin Costner starred in??? There aren't any. Prince of thieves was his best! Still, a blind hermit name Sparky could have played the role better, but this is Kevin Costner we're talking about ;)

Robin Hood Men in Tights :D 2 more points please ;)

Sherrif Rottingham: Over hand that boy!
Everyone looks dazed and confused.
Sheriff Rottingham: Ugh, Hand over that boy!

Robin of Loxley: This is Achew
Blinkin: A jew? Here? In England?

Yes, but "Kevin Costner's best movie" does not necessarily equal "decent movie" ;)

'kay, you get points for that, even though you were obviously going to know it because it's a Mel Brooks film :p :D

Agreed, and Prince of Thieves was a total joke next to the Robin of the Hood series produced back in the 1980's for three seasons of British television, and later shown in the US. The latter had better writing, better acting, and even (IMO) better special effects. :)

But enough from the few of us. Let's let some of the other slackers relate their opinions! :D

(cough) Now would I do that? :p ;)

I don't mind spam. I encourage it. But I really wanted to get people's opinions, and if they don't see any when they open the thread, they'll just go looking elsewhere. At least, that's the theory. Goodness knows, I'm not sure about how it works out, since although I've been brown-haired for ages, I was born a...blonde. :D

That's a fair point. Makes sense... but you can never control the spam! :D :p It's gonna get here eventually.. but by then, yep, people would have already seen the discussion, so everyone wins ;)

@Fable sorry to spam your thread ;) but may I just ask - was that the Robin of Sherwood series? I sadly never saw it, though I have a well-thumbed copy of the novel...

I have another - Alyson Hannigan as Imoen :D
So who do you have in mind, @Fable? :)

@Veh: Joke answer: Kevin Costner in The Big Chill. Real answers: Fandango or Silverado (better films than King of Theives, but Kevin remains Kevin).

@Fable: John Goodman as an NPC version of Ribald Barterman. Lionel Barrymore as Elminster. Rula Lenska as Branwen. Drew Barrymore in a guest shot as The Courtesan ("Do ye want t' look at me t---ies?")
That there; exactly the kinda diversion we coulda used.
