Is it possible to use my character from the NWN2 main campaign in the MOTB expansion?

Yes.
The two stories are connected, so you should.

How though. Cuz when I tried to start the MOTB campaign, I only had 2 options.
Create a character or choose a character from a list (which doesnt include mine)

Find a saved game near the end of the OC (before you attack the "king"). Load that saved game and then go down to the menu and *export* your character.

Then you should have that character added to your list.

(..and yes, its a bit unfair that you don't get the character *after* having killed the "king".

)
