Well, what I do is find a Vampire or 10, and let them maul me without any armor on. Of course you'll need a heal spell, heal scrolls, or some health potions.
Hindsight is 20/20.

Vampy

That or just do the assassin quests. They are quite fun, being a vampire isn't so much.

Vicente
of

The Dark Brotherhood
Actually I think
Spoiler
Count Skingrad
might only offer to make you a vampire when you
Spoiler
bring him the cure for his wife
which you can only get by being a vampire anyway so forget him maybe.

To: Grim Harvest!

There's a patch that you can get to address that glitch concerning the
Spoiler
Count of Skingrad!
:)
Spoiler
Once you have it, instead of biting you in your sleep as Vicente does, he casts a less painful spell on you, should you choose to accept his offer. However, he can't do that if you drank your own cure potion, so he merely give you the gold only. Therafter you can't become a vampire again, because it is permanent. Unless you have the Vile Lair or access to the Testing Hall.
;)
Shhh! Be very quiet! I may be sleep writing and sleep reading!
