hello all,
I finished NWN and I was considering continuing with NWN2 or SOU or a "premium module." (I tried to post this on the premium modules list, but I need my game ID number, and it's upstairs...)
I wondered if any of you veteran players could answer some quesions about what to do next... First, do I need to have Shadows and Hoardes installed and completed before I can run any of the modules for sale on the Bioware site?
Secondly, I downloaded the 1.69 patch, so NWN, Shadows, and Hoardes titles are all represented in the slick intro menu I seemed to get with the downloaded patch. Will that 1.69 patch fix the major problems with NWN2 that I read about in the reviews?
Last, is there any way to keep my character (sorcerer 16) from NWN and use him in Shadows and Hoardes or the modules? One reason I'm not inclined to buy Shadows is that it seems I have to give him up and start all over. Is that what I have to do?
Any answers you can give me would be much appreciated!
After NWN...?
I'm pretty sure this is the case.chefboy00 wrote:First, do I need to have Shadows and Hoardes installed and completed before I can run any of the modules for sale on the Bioware site?
NWN and NWN2 are different games with different patches. You might actually be better off trying NWN2 without patches first and see how well that works for you.Secondly, I downloaded the 1.69 patch, so NWN, Shadows, and Hoardes titles are all represented in the slick intro menu I seemed to get with the downloaded patch. Shadows expects you to create a new character, but for Hordes you can import one. IIRC, for the premium modules you mostly create new characters.Last, is there any way to keep my character (sorcerer 16) from NWN and use him in Shadows and Hoardes or the modules?
