SoZ Trading in the beginnning (spoiler)

Post by Claudius »

in the beginning you can trade resources with towns....

I have found 2 towns and they have the same prices for each resource so there is pretty much no point. Am I missing something or do I have to wait for another map?
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.

..wait for another map - in fact save all of your trade bars.. EXCEPT purchase 1 lot of salt.

..its a semi-spoiler, but it should save people a lot of hassle.

I found 3 towns and none has salt. Also I only have 100 trade bars left. Is that ok?

Its better if you had all of your trade bars, but any little bit will help.

Fulfill all the tiefling merchant's quests and one of the towns related to the quest will have your salt (..75 bars I believe - to purchase one lot of salt). ;)

I didn't get much gold either... Can I buy trade bars with gold (in other words should I save some gold up)

No.. Spend your gold as you like.. in fact if there are some essentials (like healing kits), you might want to *seriously* stock up on them in that as you progress higher in level the cost goes up (and you might be a little cash-poor with fewer sources for those essentials on the next map).

The same holds true for selling - provided that the good doesn't exceed the max value the merchant provides for any single item, selling it a lower levels provides more cash than at higher levels.

Minor spoiler:
Spoiler

Tip.. if you free up a certain swamp infested town on the next map and you choose to "set up shop" with the closest neighbor town to your base (to the west of it), then your trade bars will go "further" earlier on.
