SoZ(spoiler) bounty satchel

Post by Claudius »

So I finally caught 8 spiders. But the bounty satchel doesn't let me open it. I can't put the items in the satchel into my inventory. loot all does nothing.

also there is no dialogue option for 8 spiders even though I have completed this. She mentions a reward if I reduce spider by 8 but she doesn't give a completion option.
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.

It should automatically place all the monster "skins" in your bag.. AS LONG AS THE PERSON CARRYING THE BAG PICKS THEM UP. (..that person should be your Leader.)

Also, the person chatting with her should be the Leader AND have the bounty bag. That along with the bounty (at least the number of "skins"), should provide the bounty she wants. (..of course "skin" drops are so pitifully random that I finally gave up on these "quests".)

Presumably you'll get a feat or something for bringing in all the bounties.. but I never did that.

If I remember correctly - you have to restart the "have any bounties/work" dialogue (along with the above) to get the completion and the cash.

Oh no I sold all my bounties and dumped the bag (luckily next to the girl)...

Well now I have 1 boar tusk and 2 spider skins :( But since I am level squatting I probably have 3000 more experience so its the point of no turn back...

They should tell you in the tutorial you need to turn in the bounty with the char holding the bag.

Can you turn in bounties without the bag?

I don't know.

Now why would you go and drop a perfectly good 80% bag of holding? :D

because I can't take items out of the bag of holding which means that bag of holding holds on a little too tight for me :p

well its right next to the bounty chick. I'll pick it up and put it up again. Now I've got enough xp for level 10 although I'm squatting and I still get 300 xp for killing boars and ogres which I can kill in like 2 seconds with my Swash 3 rogue 2 Shadowthief 3 dual wielding Blade of Samarch and a +1 kukri with 20 intelligence..

EDIT:

I turned in the spiders without the satchel...Now she wants 10 boar tusks and I only got 750 gp for the spiders... I only have 1 boar tusk

hmphh.. accusing *me* of control issues with puppet mode. :p

Yeah, the experience points aren't too bad, BUT each level requires more and more.. (greedy game).

I think there are multiple bounties before she is exhausted.. but wait.. there is at least one more such person on that map!

It also seems like the higher in experience points you go the fewer "skin drops" occur (relative to the EL level of monster).

TIP: Boars seem to spawn best in the morning over the river directly east of Samargol (..near the east-to-west running "grass" corridor).

Of course the whole idea here is to level you up.. so if you are already doing that on your own I don't see much point in these quests.

Has anyone actually completed all the bounty quests, and is it worth it? Doesn't seem to be at the moment in my opinion.

I checked a few threads in bioware boards and there isn't really an ultimate reward. Spoiler: of note and sarcastically they mention the reward of an item that can cast light lol unlimited uses per day...and a little gold. I'm doing the bounties just because.
