I am planning to run through the OC with the following rogue build which I think will be novel and interesting..
Wood Elf (for keen senses)
STR 17 + 5
DEX 16
CON 12
INT 12
WIS 8
CHA 8
(maybe I'll need to compromise the stats more but something like that)
1 Rogue 1 Able Learner
2 Rogue 2
3 Rogue 3 Dodge
4 Rogue 4
5 Rogue 5
6 Rogue 6 Mobility
7 Rogue 7
8 Rogue 8 (instead of SD for BAB 6)
9 Shadowdancer 1 Weapon Finesse
10 Duelist 1
11 Duelist 2
12 Duelist 3 Power Attack
13 Duelist 4
14 Duelist 5 Precise Strike (at this point wield a spear)
15 Duelist 6 Cleave, Flourish
16 Rogue 9
17 Rogue 10 Crippling Strike
18 Rogue 11 Great Cleave
19 Frenzied Berserker 1 Toughness
20 Frenzied Berserker 2 Supreme Cleave
wields spear
BAB 16 for 4 attacks
HIPS
6d6 sneak attack
with +8 str belt does +15 from STR to damage
+ 1d6 precise strike (works with spear)
flourish for another 2d6
Crippling Strike
AC
with INT band +8 gets 5AC from cunning defense with no armor check penalty
with DEX gloves +8 gets 7AC from
= not great AC but not pants either
High Reflex save with Evasion...protect Will with Mind Blank?
I'm not saying its the ultimate build but it is an interesting build.
EDIT: scratch that I'm giving MoTB a go
Rogue 11 Shadowdancer 1 FZ 8 Duelist 10
21 Epic Precision
23 Extend Rage
25 Epic Prowess
27 Expose Weakness
29 Great STR or WF Spear depending if odd or even

Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.

Forget Expose Weakness. It is a very good feat, but a build (epic only) should be crafted around *just* that feat ..something like an epic Shadow Dancer.
I'd also probably ditch the Dualist levels and go with a "Feint" character and more sneak attack damage. (..and keep the FB to 5 levels.)
Your attack number doesn't have to be particularly high in MOTB, except missing on numerous attacks against 50% concealment opponents. (..no big deal there because they rarely hit you.) The net result then is that a pure medium BAB class is fine in MOTB (..particularly considering the enhancements you can craft into weapons).
BTW, I've updated the SOZ post with corrections - its less restrictive than what I'd originally thought.
I played a a rogue 4 F 1 who was going to be a duelist 10 F8 rogue 11 SD 1...
It would have been fun but it was too boring before combat insight kicks in..not much damage...
Now I am playing a Ranger 2 F 1 who is going to be a Ranger 11 F8 Duelist 6 FZ 5...
Wood elf With high strength...and the feats:
Dodge
Mobility
Weapon Finesse (to qualify for Duelist)
Blindfighting
Able Learner
Power Attack
Cleave
Great Cleave
WF Longbow
Point Blank Shot
Archery Combat Style
Improved Crit Longbow
Pre Epic F4 Ranger11 Duelist 5
Then Epics Finish out fighter
Epic Prowess
WF Spear (fighter feat)
Great Strength
Great WF Spear (fighter feat)
Great WF Longbow
Epic WF Spear
Epic WF Longbow
Just for fun to make a run through the campaign.....
(The above build suffers from splitting between STR and DEX...without high dex the archery is pretty useless even Improved Rapid Shot and Manyshot)...
I decided I really wanted a STRONG character wielding carnage but I also wanted to feel skillful and not just an oaf unable to interact with the game other than with my sword. GO GO Bard...
Bard 13
Red Dragon Disciple 4
Fighter 1
FZ 2
Human
1 Bard 1 Power Attack Battle Caster
2 Fighter 1 Cleave
3 Bard 2 Practiced Caster Bard
4 Bard 3
5 Bard 4
6 Bard 5 Great Cleave
7 FZ 1
8 FZ 2
9 Bard 6 Blindfighting
10 Bard 7
11 Bard 8
12 Bard 9 Extend Spell
13 Bard 10
14 Bard 11
15 Bard 12 Curse Song
16 RDD 1
17 RDD 2
18 RDD 3 Lingering Song
19 RDD 4
20 Bard 13
21 Bard 14 Epic Prowess
22 Bard 15
23 Bard 16 Chorus of Heroism
24 Bard 17
25 Bard 18 Great Strength 1
26 Bard 19
27 Bard 20 Great Strength 2
28 Bard 21
29 Bard 22 Song of Requiem
30 Bard 23 Hymm of Requiem
I just noticed I have no able learner so I'll probably change the leveling to alternate Bard and FZ/RDD...
