Well to put it in simple terms that I can understand I think my copy of the SoZ expansion is diseased. I bought it today and swiftly installed it and went to start the new adventure but noticed(just as swiftly, more so in fact) that there was something wrong.
All the new stuff that has been added by the SoZ expansion is... I suppose you could say it's unnamed, for instance where the names for the new races, classes, feats and spells(etc etc etc) should be it says nothing, it is just a blank space. I thought I could live with this obvious problem cause none of the new stuff interested me, I am always Drow and other such dark/evil races(but I am always a good guy, see I just like being different), but when I started to play the new adventure I soon found out there was no dialogue what-so-ever, not a peep of written word in the dialogue boxes. Since I prefer to read(and I my PC's speakers are currently deciding they don't like playing recognizable sounds but instead prefer to emit a rather painful sound, basically I have no speakers) this is a big problem for me, assuming SoZ has voice actors and stuff.
So anyway has this happened to anyone else? I have no idea what to do, my version of the game is completely patched up(It tells me I am v1.20) I hoped patching it might fix it but it hasn't. I am not good with computers people so if you try to help me and I need to do all kinds of technical funk tell me in ways I can understand.

What order did you install the games in?... If you look around a lil, some places tell you the order. But here,Daath Bauhaus wrote:Well to put it in simple terms that I can understand I think my copy of the SoZ expansion is diseased. NwN 2 Original -> (MotB [Xp1] Optional but recommended) -> SoZ [Xp2] then patch
'my' current version of the game is v1.21 ..so Im thinkin the auto-patcher may've missed 1 or you haven't updated recently.
However, I installed mine as:
NwN 2 (patch) -> MotB [Xp1] -> SoZ [Xp2] (patch)
(but I doubt it matters) and mine works fine as it is. Full dialogue and descriptions.
I only get crashes when I overcast or once in awhile w/ loadings.
And I recall a similar problem for alotta ppl when NwN 2 first released.
If it tells you -No other updates available- Only other idea I got for you would be to reinstall
''White light beams through darkness, beset by immense haze over a few seconds followed by a loud cacophony. Motionless, the repercussion of your action strikes your feebled mind and senses. Still dazed, the intensity lingers that follows after tripping over your own sonic blind trap.''

thanks for your help, that's what I ended up doing, I haven't checked properly cause it was almost 03:30 in the morning by the time I had finished re-installing. The name of the new campaign is showing(which it wasn't before) so it's looking good so far. But for the record I installed in the order they were released, but I didn't patch MotB before installing SoZ, I shall patch it all up tonight.Mz_Trixter wrote:Only other idea I got for you would be to reinstallif its that bad.
Thanks again for your help.
