i was unable to kill a black bigcat. it slay my whole team.

what is it ? it has a uncanny AC , i am impossible to hit it.

Paragon Beast of Malar.

It's purely an optional "kill". So you can always skip it and come back once you have a stronger party.

There are many ways to kill it. Magically look to drown (from the shaman), and then finish it off, or a few castings of Isacc's greater missle storm. Note though that it does have improved evasion, so spells like fireball are useless, and with its high AC spells that require a touch attack (ranged or not) are also probably useless unless you cast true strike before it.

Lots of elemental damage forged into a melee weapon can also do the trick.

yeah i cast true strike
my attack roll is 55/50/45/40 , still very hard to hit it.
i think the porblem is that it has uncanny regeneration hit point.

Like was said before -- you really need to take it down with massive spell damage quickly. Missile storms and acid work well (as long as there is no reflex saving throw). Prepare your spell books before the encounter (all of the NPC ones as well), making sure to read the descriptions and avoid reflex saving throws and ranged / direct touch attacks. Go for the spells that do the most damage even if saving throws are passed.

Implosion
Have that winged cleric girl (kaelyn?) cast implosion on it, and it'll go down in a second if it doesn't make it's save.

ha ha , i found another hard battle.
go to ice-troll-lodge, slay all berbeskers, than a spirit badger will run in and become anger badger, which is more difficult than that cat.

Yes, that's a very hard battle, especially with all spell casters and One of Many (who is a rogue at this point).

Had to micromange both battles -- the one against the beserkers (or else Safiya used too many of the spells that can harm the badger) and the badger fight (had to get the badger to fight kaelyn only because neither of them could hit each other, leaving my char (8 Wiz / 6 Rog / 10 Arcane Trickster) and Safiya to pelt it with the only spells that would work: missile storm, magic missile, wand of missiles, etc.

Took me 3 tries to get both done. But it was a lot of fun!!

i was curious.
if i am a level-18 fighter with STR50 . i will be kill by this paragon beast of Malar

if i am a level-23 fighter with normal STR 30, then i can eazy kill him.

why ? does high STR should has high hit/dam ratio?

..it's getting bonuses due to its much higher level than you (..when you are level 18). ;)

what kind of bonuses ?

when level 18 with str50, we got hit dise 45/40/35/30

when level 18 with str30, we got hit dise 25/20/15/10, even 18 upgrade to 23, (if fighter high BAB) we got 30/25/20/15

so i still do not understand why high str can't kill that cat.

..you won't see changes due to level, and yes - the greater the difference in level the greater the difference in the alteration. Don't worry about it - just enjoy it when you are able to. ;)
