hi i really need to know that if you start a new game does it save over your current data? i really don't want to lose my profile

Well, not sure how PC version works, but in XBox the only thing that get replaced is autosave. All the saves manually made by you should stay as they were unless you overwrite them.

Same for PC, although quicksave will also be erased if you quicksave with your new character. But, no, it won't touch your manual saves unless you manually overwrite. :)
