Vanilla Ice
I heard he is comming back and is gonna make a concert in LA. Is this true? If it is I've got only one thing to say - What a clown...

Vicsun, I certainly agree with your assertion that you are an unpleasant person. ~Chanak

Well I start getting worried when 2pac gets back. And even more worried when Elvis comes back. But for now I'll just hope that people will throw rotton tomatoes at himOriginally posted by Mr Sleep:

A lot of people don't know this, but Robert Van Winkle (Vanilla Ice) actually cut his own hair that way, using a mirror to make the shaved lines in the back just right...(what can I say, I have a great mind for useless trivia) I believe the last time I saw pictures of him he had dreadlocks
I was working in a record store back in 1989 and the big sellers were ice ice baby, mc hammer, and Paula Abdul. Maybe she can come back too. The only thing that kept us sane was that we had "In Living Color" to make fun of them.
MC Hammer is a televangelist now - I notice a lot of mediocre singers find a place in the ministry, not that there have not been some great ones too. MC Hammer has toned down his look a certain amount, he pants are normal size now and his glasses are not as gaudy - you know its bad when you have to tone down your look to be a televangelist.

I can't believe you guys are giving Vanilla Ice such a hard time. Sure his real name is Robert Van Winkle, sure he grew up in Ft. Worth not the 'hood, and sure he sold out to anyone willing to write him a check. But I don't think anyone here has their own Behind the Music, or their own action figure, or their own "semi-autobiographical movie" (Cool as Ice, MCA, 1991). Yeah, Vanilla Ice may be a joke, but he made a lot of money, sold a lot of albums, and is a lot more famous than I am.

I was waiting for someone to mention cool as Ice. The movie is a masterpiece of comedic genius. I'd highly recommend. Note: I never said it was good, it's just intersting. I forced my family to watch it the day after Thanksgiving and was severely beaten. Maybe it should be a rental for single viewer only.
Crush enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of the women.

Good heavens, no! But, I did pick up Too the Extreme in a CD sale bin several years ago. My lasting association of Ice Ice Baby is a friend drinking too much at his bachelor party and almost throwing up on a stripper while Vanilla Ice was playing. Needless to say, she was grossed out and left shortly afterward.Originally posted by Aleldar:
