More console worries

Post by GawainBS »

I can get the console to appear, I can activatie the DebugMode, but when I try to use the "SetSTAT #", nothing happens. When I enter that code, I just get a message "SetSTAT", without the number. I used both my numpad and my regular keyboard. Any idea what could be causing this?

Thanks in advance!

Do you have your character selected?

Yes. Tried it selected and unselected. The problem really is that the console refuses to recognise numbers.

The console lagged a bit on my system, for no apparent reason. And strangely too. Sometimes it wouldn't recognize a command unless I typed it two or three times. Especially turning the debugmode on was tough.

I don't know if that was just me though. Haven't really heard anything about it.

CON. I just realised what was wrong. I thought that "selecting" the character was enough. Apparently, you had to rightclick them again before they were selected correctly. It works now, but the console still doesn't show numbers.
So thanks, GD, for saying that about selecting, it made me retry a couple of different things.

I've noticed that the Console doesn't display much, myself.

If I were to enter:

SetCON 18 (and press enter)

It would show only SetCON on the next line.

But having the char's stat screen showing would show if the command's sucess, tho.

Good to hear that you got it working.
