In my current game, started since I downloaded the Fortress expansion, I have found the Mystic Emprium permanently closed. There have even been people waiting outside to go in for the whole of one day until 'closing time'. The only way I have been able to enter is to go into sneak mode and unlock the door; once in, it is fine, I can buy and sell ok, and the store is open as it should be when I leave. But come back the next day, it is all locked up again and I have to the thing over again, waiting until customers are not waiting and no-one is looking before I can break in again.
It's getting to be a bit of a pain in the butt. Short of starting over with a new game - which I tried, and the shop is open as normal - is there any way of fixing this problem?

It is a known bug... There is a fix though:
The below patch covers all of the official expansions, you select those you are actually using during installation.
Unofficial Official Mods Patch - Planet Elder Scrolls
Failing that, though it is immersion breaking, you can just bring up the console (hit the ~ key which is to the left of the #1 key), click on the door with your cursor, and type in "unlock" (without the quotes), and hit Enter. This will open the door with no penalties.

I checked out the site - which looks very interesting, btw - but they hedged their bets so much with the fixes that I decided to give it a miss!
I used the console command instead and it worked perfectly.
