Father's Day

Post by Gwalchmai »

Father’s Day is tomorrow, and I know some of us on this forum are actual fathers. Most of us probably had fathers, though I suspect some of you are actually alien test-tube babies. :p A quick internet search revealed this bit of history about Father’s Day:
The first Father's Day was observed on June 19, 1910 in Spokane Washington. At about the same time in various towns and cities across American other people were beginning to celebrate a "father's day." In 1924 President Calvin Coolidge supported the idea of a national Father's Day. Finally in 1966 President Lyndon Johnson signed a presidential proclamation declaring the 3rd Sunday of June as Father's Day.
American greeting card companies are having a field day. :p

I have two amazing daughters, 2.75 years old and 3 months. Being a father and having these kids is really the best thing I have ever done. So, I was wondering how many others are fathers – I know Leedog is, but who else? Also, don’t forget to call your Dads tomorrow! Oh, and no more of those ugly ties, please.
:D

You can't have too many daddy, you know. What's happen to Ubik? :D

BTW, I am not a daddy myself. :D

I suggest that you call him up and remind him of some cute story from your childhood, like that time when you ate too much candy and you vomited on his shoes. Oh, wait, that was just last week! :D

My daughter wants to send out Father's Day greeting to all the daddies out there, so here goes:

`1112345677890qwertyuiopasdfhghjklzxcvbnm1231 njjjjjjnnnn 123411234567890qwertyuiopasdsdfghjklzxcvbnbmnbbb mzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzertyuvb iopzxcvbnnnmzxxxxxxccccccccccvvv vvvvvvvbnmsassarsaassssasarah

My other daughter's diaper is pretty full right now, her little contribution to the celebration. :)
