noob in trouble

I just started the game a few days ago and while I've figured most things out I still can't figure out how to do simple things like pick mushrooms and eat bread. Someone help please?

You'll be able to pick up mushrooms later... just don't worry about it for now.

Open your inventory and just left click on the bread to eat it.

You won't actually be able to pick the mushrooms, but you can use them (and many other herbs) with the alchemy skill level 2 and higher. Just drag an small empty flask onto the mushrooms to create a potion.
