need some advice...
My sisters birthday is in a few weeks, and all of a sudden she wants computer games after years of ignoring them
I think she might like the story and gameplay of the longest journey or escape from monkey island, but i don't know how hard they are, and if they are to difficult she will get fustrated and hate them
So has anyone plaed these, and know how difficult they might be for someone who is new to computer games? or can you suggest something she might like better? (She really goes for story and such, and little cute things)
If I asked, would you answer? Its your problem. Its a deep, deep problem. I have no way to ask about that... I have no elegant way of stepping into your heart without tracking in filth. So I will wait. Someday, when you want to tell me, tell me then. -Bleach

How old is your sister, and what's her level of patience with puzzles? Both the games you name are excellent ones, with a lot of fine detail that makes them far more interesting than just a lot of puzzle-solving. But it has to be said that there are some fairly difficult puzzles in MI 4 in particular. If she enjoys challenges, by all means, buy both for her. You might also want to check out Microsoft's Pandora's Box, a great collection of advanced jigsaw style puzzles of all sorts.

my sister is 18. She likes an occasional challenge, an has incredible patience (she has like 12 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles she completed
) But she won't like it if she gets hung up on a lot of the puzzles.

The SIms is pretty good. Although i started to get annoyed and frustrated taking care of the people. Some people get obbsessed with it, though. Although i did love building the houses especially when you cheat and get tons of money and can build anything yu want. If you like architecture, that bit can be quite fun.

I think your original choices would be excellent ones--particularly The Longest Journey, since (for once) your persona is a genuine heroine, rather than, in Laura Croft-fashion, a way to snicker at T&A. I think your sister will appreciate that game's POV.
