Have been trying to avoid fighting or killing anyone unless it's unavoidable, good thing because when I do fight I get my clock cleaned most of the time.
Example: Just entered the SE area of the hive and try to help a Damsel in distress and get killed very quickly. Have reloaded about 6 times now. Same thing with the Starved Barking Dogs only they kill me faster
Also game manual says getting killed can be a good thing sometimes, am I screwing up by reloading?
TNO is Fighter Lv 4
Thanks Sonny

...specialize him in fighting. Yes, you can do that, which gives you extra points in certain weapons and I believe it would upgrade some of your AC stats. Don't know for sure about that last part, since I always went mage.
Fighting can be a bit tricky in the beginning, but use morte as main fighter and join him in battle when he's the target of all the enemies... Worked for me.
Also, sometimes you have to die to get certain things and since you don't lose anything when you die, why load? That's one of the cool things in the game!

If I remember correctly, you were planning to play a fighter, so don't forget to put points into Constitution as it influence The Nameless One's regeneration rate, and at around twenty, it gets ridiculously fast.
Then again, Constitution is an important score for all classes.

I always left my constitution at the begin stat (i think it's 9) and I got through the game nicely. I only upgraded my CHa, Int and wisdom so that I wouldn't miss any dialogue options. So, sonny, before you go blasting up your Constitution, strength and Dexterity, don't forget all your wisdom, since a great deal of this game is talking and there are essentially...
Spoiler (i guess since I don't want to be blamed for ruining your experience.)
... only a few great battles you have to fight.

Yes, I did the same thing in BG and BGII (keep the same class all way through)and it worked out fine.
I've taken this approach the first play-through because I figured there was enough to absorb with out putting more on my plate.
I've finding out that this is an entirely different type of game, so I"m hoping that decision to stay a fighter is a good one.
Since the Starved Barking Dogs are part of a quest I have, I guess it's OK to put them off for a while until I get stronger or get some more party members.
Thanks

On the flip side, I always play through as a fighter, and my strength has never been above twelve (since Wisdom, Intelligence, and Charisma are far more important).
Finding other party members makes fights easier, and Morte is an excellent damage soak. His special ability is both hilarious and extremely useful, too.
