Xbox 360 - Missing Expansion Content

Post by Arok2092 »

Alright so as the title of the thread suggests I am playing on an Xbox 360 and for the 2nd time now I went to start up the game and it tells me that I am missing important content and asks me if I want to continue loading. This first happened months ago and I told it to continue loading anyway and then my console froze and crashed. I called customer support and all they could tell me to do was download all the content again which was a big waste of my time.(Especially since my level 43 Dunmer file was corrupted beyond repair.) Now this has all happened a second time and once again I went and downloaded all the content and now it works just fine. I am confused about 2 things though, 1 is that each time I downloaded all the content again Xbox Live told me it had to update my Oblivion game. I don't understand though because as far as I can tell the update does nothing and Bethesda mentions nothing about it on their official site. #2 concern is "Why does this keep happening!?". I would like to know why my game keeps thinking the content is gone when it is clearly on my HDD.

I understand this is a more technical question than usual but I really don't know where else to go. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Could be you'll get a reply over here, or possibly the Tech forum will provide it, sooner. So I'll give you a two-for-one: I'll move this thread to Tech, and leave a redirect so people can see it in Oblivion, and post in either place. Hope that helps. :)
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
