what is it? i have heard of it, but what can it do and where can you get it?

Welcome to the RPG Maker 2000 v1.05e section. Rpg Maker is the successor to Rpg Maker 95, which is an Rpg creating and editing program. Rpg Maker 2000 is in Full English, so you dont have to worry about translating it like you did for Rpg Maker 95+. The program of course, allows you to create your own Role playing games, in the style of Dragon Warrior or Final Fantasy. The main download is just the basic install of the actual program you need to make your games. You must get the RTP Package from above if you wish to make games with preset monsters, chara sets, tilesets, battle screens and animations, and the system graphics, and some music. Basically its all fairly straight forward, you can learn more about it and how to use it by reading the ReadMe and the FAQ's on how to use the program.

I heard of it a while back, but could never get it to work. With a new version out, I'm feeling lucky!

ive got the main program, im just downloading the 11mb 'extra file' that it needs to run

. bah. extra file? 11mg? and the main one was 3.something? bah

@Stoner Cold: Did your D/L take a long time also, like 900 bytes/second? Cause I'm on Cable, and it took me two hours to download.

I don't like the program that much. I don't want a program that makes anime or Japanese style RPGs. I want a program that could construct D&D RPGs.

I always try again and again but I can never figure out the event system,lol I've made over 10 attempts to make an rpg the last 1,5 years to no avail.RPGmaker psx is easier to use but the games are harder to publish
